Stockinette Brioche - Right side

Stockinette Brioche - Wrong side |
This variation places all the ‘knit’ stitches on the RS and the ‘purl’ stitches on the
WS just as in normal stockinette stitch. This really becomes interesting when
you add color. This stitch should be worked on needles much smaller than those
recommended for the yarn. For my sample I could have used much smaller
needles. |
Cast on an even number of sts.
Prep Row (WS): wyif, *sl1yof, p1, rep van *.
Row 1 (RS): *yf sl1yo, brk1, rep from *.
Row 2 (WS): wyif, *sl1yof, brp1, rep from *.

This variation adds a little bumpy texture. I worked this with a selvedge stitch.
Cast on an even number of sts plus 2 selvedge stitches.
Row 1 (RS): selv st, *k1, yf sl1yo; rep from *, end with selv st.
Row 2 (WS): selv st, *brp1, p1; rep from *, end with selv st.
Row 3 (RS): selv st, *yf sl1yo, k1; rep from *, end with selv st.
Row 4 (WS): selv st, *p1, brp1; rep from *, end with selv st.
Repeat Rows 1-4.
