Twisted Brioche Stitch
This stitch becomes lacey when worked on large needles.

One-Color Twisted Brioche – same on both sides

Cast on a multiple of 3 + 2 sts.
Row 1: k1, *sl1yo, k2tog; rep from *, end with k1.

Row 2: k1, *sl1yo, brk1; rep from *, end with k1.
Row 3: k1, *k1, skip st under yo, k the yo (leave it on the left needle), then k the skipped st, slip both sts from needle; rep from *, end with k1.
Repeat rows 1-3.

Three-Color Twisted Brioche – same on both sides

Loosely cast a multiple of 3 + 2 sts with color C.
My colors: color A = light blue, color B = medium blue, color C = dark blue.

Row 1 color A: k1, *sl1yo, k2tog; rep from *, end with k1.
Row 2 color B: k1, *sl1yo, brk1; rep from *, end with k1.
Row 3 color C: k1, *k1 skip st under yo, k the yo (leave it on the left needle), then k the skipped st, slip both sts from needle; rep from *, end with k1.
Repeat Rows 1-3.
